Overview

The Merge Candidate feature in the Candidate Dialog allows users to combine two candidate profiles into a single record directly from the system interface.

This feature is useful when duplicate or similar candidate profiles exist due to repeated entries, similar names, or multiple submissions using different email addresses. Instead of requesting backend support, users can now complete the merge independently through the More Actions menu inside the Candidate Dialog.

Merging helps maintain accurate candidate data, prevents duplication, and ensures all relevant information is stored under one consolidated profile.

Note: Merging cannot be undone. Please review both profiles carefully before proceeding.

 

How to Combine Candidate Profiles

Step 1: Open the Candidate Profile

  1. Go to the Candidate Screen.

  2. Open the candidate profile you want to keep as the main profile.

Step 2: Click “Merge Profile With”

  1. Click the three-dot (More Actions) menu.

  2. Select Merge Profile With.



A popup window will open.

Step 3: Search for the Duplicate Profile

In the popup, search using one of the following:

  • Candidate ID

  • Candidate Name

  • Candidate Email

Enter the details to find the duplicate profile.

Step 4: Select the Candidate

  • The system will display a list of matching candidates.

  • Choose the correct candidate using the radio button.

Make sure you carefully verify the selected profile before continuing.

Step 5: Click “Merge Now”

Click the Merge Now button at the bottom of the popup.

After Combining Profiles

Once confirmed:

  • The currently opened candidate profile will be merged with the selected candidate.

  • A success message will appear:
    “Candidate merged successfully.”
