Recruiters often receive multiple CVs or resumes via email. Downloading and uploading each file manually can be time-consuming. With the Outlook 365 Extension from iSmartRecruit, you can directly import resumes from your Outlook mailbox into the system—no downloads required. This guide walks you through installing the extension and using it to import resumes seamlessly.

Once downloaded:
Right-click the ZIP file.
Select Extract Files to create a folder..png)
Open your browser and go to: https://aka.ms/olksideload
This opens Outlook on the web and loads the Add-ins for Outlook dialog. Then follow the below steps.
Log in to your Outlook account.
Open any email that contains a resume attachment.
Click the three-dot menu on the email and select Get Add-ins.
In the Add-ins panel, scroll to My Add-ins and click Add a Custom Add-In..png)

Choose the extracted file named Outlook 365 app plugin.xml.
Click Install to complete the setup..png)
Open any email that includes a resume.
Click on the three-dot menu and select iSmartRecruit.

On the first use, click Login and enter your iSmartRecruit credentials.

Click the Import Resume button.
The resume will be directly imported into iSmartRecruit..png)
Go to the Candidate Module in iSmartRecruit to view the imported resume.
The source will be shown as Outlook Add-in.
If you see an error stating "Need admin approval", you’ll need assistance from your organisation’s administrator.
The admin should approve the plugin and select “Approve on behalf of your organisation” during the approval process.

Now, when you import a profile using the Outlook Plugin, the candidate’s work experience is automatically parsed and added along with the profile.
